VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Friday’s 8th Grade Knight and home football game!!!

Friday night football game vs. Chelmsford and 8 Grade Knight!

Our 8th grade band and chorus students are coming!!!!!  There are a lot of moving parts for this game!

We would love to meet new parents – please come and see what we are all about; no experience necessary. We are happy to show new parents how we operate!!!

We are looking for parent volunteers and “Podium Pals” for the football game. Tasks include setting up the bleachers with seat covers for the band students, escorting the students to the field from the Courtyard, traffic control at two locations, keeping the path in front of the band clear while they play in the stands, crowd control prior to the half-time show, plume distribution, helping to set up podiums for half-time (looking for a few sets of strong shoulders for this and to return the podiums to the school after the half-time show), assist the pit students in getting their equipment onto the field (and off) and assisting with picking up the bleacher covers after the game.  There is NO experience required for any of the tasks – we will certainly assist all of our newcomers.  We are always eager to meet our new music parents (and always eager to welcome back our previous music parents).

Please meet Karen Bussell near the band doors at 5:45 p.m. for instructions if you sign up for traffic control and band volunteer.  If you sign up for Podium Pal and pit crew volunteer, please report to the practice field (to the left of the football field) after the 2nd quarter of the game for instructions). Bleacher cover volunteers to set up at 5:30 p.m. (if we could get at least one volunteer who has previously covered the bleachers to assist with any newcomers who sign up, that would be awesome!  Please also note that another lower section will need to be covered for the 8th grade band students; please see Karen Bussell upon arrival.

We are also looking for 3 additional adult volunteers who can assist with serving pizza to the 8th grade band and chorus as well as the high school band and chorus. Please see specific slot to sign up for this.
