NAHS Pep Band brings spirit to the NAMA Car Wash

The NAMA Car wash was rained on Saturday, but it did not dampen the spirits of the  NAHS Pep Band members who showed up to bring in customers. Be sure to check out all the pictures of the car wash taken by Ann Lu and Donna Mastrocola in the NAMA photo page.

John Baylies (on Tuba above) provides us with this first hand account from his blog.

Well, our band held a car wash today, I guess we should check the weather next time because it was cold and raining, but at least it wasn’t windy. Last year we made $800, today we made $200. I stood out on the corner of the intersection blasting the four pep band tunes I knew over and over and over (I really should memorize more of them). Later on a few more pep bandies came and we played favorites such as Give Me Some Lovin’, Hold on I’m Comin’, Dirty Deeds, and a few others. Sophia, Caroline, and Hannah did a good job keeping the spirit up (”Are you kidding me? It’s wicked sunny out! It’s not cold!”) while the rest of us were just “bleh”. It was certainly a unique experience, I must give it that.
