4 Golds for North Andover at Music Festival!!!
Congratulations to Mrs. Durkin, Mr. Smalley, Scarlet and Black Singers, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band for taking home FOUR GOLD MEDALS this past weekend at the World Strides Heritage Music Festival in Williamsburg, VA! An incredible accomplishment, and another first for the annals of the North Andover High School Music Department.
In addition to earning 4 Gold Medal ratings, NAHS groups were recognized for the following in their respective classes:
- Symphonic Band, 1st Place
- Wind Ensemble, 1st Place
- Scarlet and Black Singers, 2nd Place
- Concert Choir, 3rd Place
- Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, Adjudicators Award for all scores over 92
- Frank Zhao, Maestro Award for choral accompaniment
Sincere thanks go out to all those dedicated individuals who made this trip so successful, including donors, parents/guardians, music teachers, NAHS administrators, chaperons and fans. Your unflagging support provided our students with this wonderful opportunity, and the thrilling results they produced can be celebrated as the joint accomplishment of our entire community.
