NESBA at NAHS Planning Underway, Can You Help?

Our NAHS Marching Band’s first competition is hosted by NAHS on October 1st, and we need over 100 parent and teen volunteers to make it run smoothly for us and about 15 visiting school bands!

NESBA at NAHS is such an important event for not only our High School music programs, but for ALL North Andover Public School music programs. This is because it is NAMA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and all the proceeds go to NAMA, which is then able to provide significant financial support to music departments throughout our district.

For volunteers, this is an exciting day – it feels a little like a mini-Olympics that we get to be part of up close and personal. We at NAMA need MANY of you parents and High School students who aren’t in Band to help out, and there are MANY different jobs to choose from.

Please come to one of the two Volunteer Information Sessions offered at NAHS:

  • Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, September 17 at 11:30 am

If you would like to take a more involved planning role, we welcome you to attend our several planning meetings at NAHS, each running from 7:30 – 8:30 pm:

  • Thursday, September 1
  • Thursday September 8
  • Tuesday, September 20
  • Tuesday, September 27

Online volunteer sign-up forms will be emailed out within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, please contact NESBA at NAHS Coordinators Martin McGrath (martinpmcgrath@msn.com) and Kim Hearst (kimhearst@gmail.com) if you have questions or would like to volunteer.

Thank you for helping to make Primary Colors and our NESBA at NAHS show fantastic!
