Several generous supporters answered the call and “Rang in the New Year” with donations to NAMA on December 31st — Thank You! However, donations in general are down, and our music programs still need financial support to help maintain the high quality of music development and offerings in North Andover. The North Andover Music Association (NAMA) supports the outstanding music programs of the North Andover Public School system. This year we have already provided over $10,000 of support to the following: dresses and tuxes for the High School Chorus; High School Band equipment and Marching Band honorariums; $2500 to graduating Seniors for scholarships and over $1500 to Drum Major and Summer camp scholarships; financial support for Middle School music programs including Band travel, competitions, and a much-needed new piano; and our growing Elementary Band program. In April 2016, all our High School music ensembles will travel to competitions in Virginia — another area of need for which NAMA will provide financial support.
