Opportunity for Band Students to Play at College Basketball Game!

Northeastern University’s Men’s Basketball team is playing at home against Michigan State University on Saturday, December 19th, and this year, high school Band students are invited to come play with the NU Pep Band! There is no limit to the number of students who can participate, and everyone is encouraged to sign up.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Not only will the high schoolers have the opportunity to perform with a college-level Band, they will also get to see a good Division I college basketball game up close – Michigan State made it to the Final 4 round last year, and Northeastern qualified for March Madness.

Interested students should register online at this link: NU Pep Band Opportunity. Participants must arrive at Northeastern’s Curry Student Center at 8:00 am on December 19th with the following: $10 for breakfast and a tee-shirt; the signed liability waiver which can be downloaded from the registration page linked above; and their instrument. The game should end by 3:00 pm; detailed schedule information and directions are viewable on the registration page linked above.

Thanks to Alex Langston, former NAHS Band member who now plays with the NU Pep Band, for letting NAMA know about this great opportunity for our Band students!
