NAHS Band Students Performed in NAfME New Composers Festival at UMASS Lowell!

Congratulations to Mark Klose and his Brass Octet (composed of all NAHS students) who performed in the UMass Lowell’s NAfME chapter “New Composers Festival” on April 30th!  Mark’s original piece “Build Me A Skyscaper In Heaven” is inspired by his uncle, an architect who passed away in 2011.  The piece is a release for Mark, who has been taking phrases and feelings that have been bottling up since his uncle’s death and releasing it into score.  Performing in the Festival were (L-R) Elliott Bruce, Val Nguyen, Mark Klose, Jacob Brandner, Frank Zhou, Jesse Goldman, Zach Wolmering and Frankie Hearst.
