NAHS Music Student Mark Klose Selected for MMEA Young Composer’s Master Class!

NAHS Senior Mark Klose has been selected to present his original composition at the Young Composer’s Master Class during this year’s Massachusetts Music Educators’ Association All-State Conference in Boston, March 9 – 11.

Klose was chosen to participate in the All-State Conference after submitting his choral composition piece titled, “Josiah”, which is based on a melody by composer Dave Brubeck, “Unsquare Dance”.  During the master class, Mark will meet with fellow student composers and work with Dr. John H. Wallace, composer, and faculty member at Boston University.

An active member of the NAHS music program, Mark has played trumpet in the honors band since his freshman year, and has sung bass in the honors chorus since his junior year.  He plans to continue composing and submitting his works to future competitions.

Congratulations to Mark!
