BAND: LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR NESBA READING, 10/26!!

It’s time for our last competition prior to the finals!!! NESBA Reading will be held at Reading High School, 62 Oakland Road, Reading, MA, this Saturday, October 26th.

Parent bus & field volunteers, podium volunteers, pit equipment volunteers and show prop volunteers will be needed to assist the band and get the students safely onto the field, ON TIME, for their performance. Parent bus & field volunteers ride the busses to the competition, plume distribution, shoelace & black sock checks, etc. Podium volunteers will be responsible for carrying the podiums onto the field, setting them up and taking them back off of the field to the equipment truck. Pit equipment volunteers will assist the students in getting their equipment to the competition site. Show prop volunteers will assist in getting the panels to and from the field.

Upon arrival at Reading High School, you will meet our equipment trucks (until I arrive at Reading High School, I have no knowledge of where they will be parked). For those of you who sign up for podiums, pit equipment volunteer, or show prop volunteer, you will need to provide your own transportation to Reading High School (62 Oakland Road, Reading, MA). The Scarlet Knights are leaving NAHS at 5:00 p.m. sharp so it would be appreciated if equipment volunteers could arrive by 6:30 p.m. Warm-up time for the Scarlet Knights will be 6:15-6:45; depart for gate at 6:45. Performance time is 7:00 p.m.
