NAMS Ensembles Achieve Great Things at Great East Festival!

On Friday, May 27 several North Andover Middle School music ensembles performed in the Great East Music Festival. NAMS participates annually in this wonderful opportunity to receive evaluation and clinical instruction, as well as hear performances by a variety of fine ensembles from other schools.

This year, both the Eighth Grade Band and the Jazz Ensemble took home plaques for achieving a Platinum Rating, the highest rating awarded at this event! Congratulations to Mr. Nelson, Mr. Ignos and their students for this accomplishment.

It is also very exciting to report that for the first time during the tenure of NAMS Chorus Director Andrea Liacos, a NAMS choral ensemble participated in the Great East Festival! Not only that, the new select chorus, “A Little Knight Music,” earned a Gold Medal Plaque! Congratulations to Ms. Liacos and her students for setting the bar so high for those who will follow.
